The Norwood City Health Department employs two nurses who are
certified by the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration as
certified child safety seat technicians. Health Commissioner, Donna
Laake, is also a certified instructor for the 32-hour class to train
and test technicians in the proper use and installation of child
safety seats. Registered nurse, Chandra Corbin, is a certified child
safety seat technician.
To assure that your child is properly installed into a car seat,
contact either Mrs. Laake or Ms. Corbin at the health department to
make an appointment for a car seat check [(513) 458-4600]. We will
inspect the installation of the car seat, check for any recalls,
provide information and assist you to properly install the seat in the
safest manner possible. There is no charge and you need not be a
resident of Norwood to take advantage of this service.
To check your car seat for a recall, go to:

We also have a variety
of informational handouts that contain very valuable information about
child safety seats, traveling on airplanes, grandparents and car seats
and many others. Contact us at (513) 458-4600 or stop by the health
department facility to pick up this information. |
