Norwood City Health Department

Board of Health

The Board of Health is the governing body of the Norwood City Health Department, consisting of 5 members appointed by the Mayor and approved by Norwood City Council. The Mayor is President of the Board by virtue of office. Term of office is 5 years, with one member’s term expiring each year. One seat on the Board of Health is reserved for a member of the “District Licensing Council” that evaluates fees for licensed entities in the community (restaurants, public swimming pools, grocery stores, tattoo parlors, etc.).

Dr. Frank Perrino serves as the Medical Director. He annually reviews medical policies and provides medical direction for communicable diseases and vaccine administration.
